The Chelan Gorge runs for one weekend a year. This year the turnout was even larger than last years, but the carnage count was lower.
For two days, we kayakers get to determine what flows we’ll see and what time the dam operators turn on the spigot.
Thanks to American Whitewater, every September we get to enjoy one of the steepest, warmest runs in the West.
